Inventors: David Haseloff and Wayne Gerlach

In 1986 two Australian scientists called David Haseloff and Wayne Gerlach found the discovery of gene shears. Gene Shears are used to get rid any genetic disease like Cystic Fybrosis and many more. They found that they could create genetic materiel called hammerhead ribozmes that would be able to cut any diseased genes. They are working out how stop more genetic diseases. Like they can not cure Cystic Fybrosis yet but they are working on finding the diseased genes. This is a great invention because it can find cures for deadly diseases and save many lives.
